1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yes. There was a monk called Chalfont that was made on the 324 last. You can also find a few other models as well, when you're using the search function.

Other than the first being cordovan and unlined, are the Harvard and Boston loafers identical? The name suggests so and they're both on the 314 last

Thanks Achilles for the post on the buckles issue. I've contacted C&J as well and they're a real pleasure to deal with.

In a bid to contribute, here's my C&J collection. (please excuse the awful photo quality)

Top: Weymouth / Lowndes / Cavendish / Unknowns

    Bottom: Ghillies

Adding a Westbourne would complete my C&J wants :inlove:

I noticed that Pediwear has been out of stock of most sizes for a while. Is C&J shutting them out with the intention of selling shoes themselves in the US? Where is the cheapest place to get C&J if you're in the US?

Sorry, I meant to ask where the cheapest place to get C&J is if you live in the US. I'm not specifically looking for a US store.

I have a pair of 348's and 363's (which is the 337 with a round toe) and take the same size in both.

    Nice Loafers

The penny seems to be the Wilton from Shipton & Heneage.

Anyone know which last the Wilton is built on? Either way, I've emailed S&H. Will report back.

Thanks for the info. While I haven't handled the 72 last before, it looks to be a balanced and attractive last to me - with a rounder English toe which I favour.

Bumping this up, anybody know a place with the Lowndes, dark brown calf or Westbourne, chestnut calf in size 7E? Would like shipping to be non-UPS, Fedex or DHL so I won't get hit with customs charges. I'm in the US.

Ordered from shoesnorthampton.co.uk ( no VAT, free shipping and sent royal mail) for them to message me back and say I could get put on the 'March 2012 waiting list'. Apparently this is due to C&J putting a limit on how many pairs they can order, so they order once a month and all months until March 2012 are already booked with customers. That's INSANE.

I emailed Plal with no response back.

^you can order directly from C&J which is what I did for my westbournes. The price is almost exactly the same as bodileys except you will have to pay 25gbp for shipping. I ordered from them over the summer and got my shoes in roughly a week.
