question about the size of suspender buttons

Hi folks,
I'm thinking of adding suspender buttons to my pants.
I don't own any suspenders and am currently abroad, where I can buy quality buttons at reasonable prices. I can't get my hands on a suspender before I make a button purchase. So please tell me the usual size of suspender buttons. Will buttons with the 15mm diameter Okay for most of suspenders on the market?

You don't want the buttons to be to big or you will have trouble fasting the braces to the pants. You should be able to find the buttons at just about any sewing store, and sometimes at least when you buy online your braces will come with a small packet of brace buttons.

Yes, obviously too big is a problem. But 15 mm is fine or on the small side, if anything. I've put 15 mm buttons on myself, but on my trousers that came with suspender buttons, they're 17 mm.

I bought a bunch of 1" buttons the other day and they are the perfect size for my suspenders. I've only gotten around to putting them on one pair of trousers though.
