i'm 23 college student;first time poster but a longtime reader here.
do these boot go with nice jeans for clubbing and casual clothing?
what about work? can i wear them to work at an office? thanks

I would not wear them to work. Chukkas, yes, in a casual environment. These, no.

I also would not suggest paying Zappos' price for them.

Depends where you work....I could actually see these being fine for a lot of environments, esp if you're 23.

mos def suitable for casual/clubbing

price seems kinda high for Stacy Adams, i see regular SA shoes in stores for about $50-60 so I can't image boots being 2x as much

We obviously differ in taste, but those boots are horendous. Look at the heel!

You might want to consider something else.

I'm not sure if you've ordered from Zappos or checked how much these shoes actually cost at a store. In my experience, Zappos is not necessarily the cheapest, but any increase in the price over other stores has, in my experience been between $5-15 (assuming there is a price difference at all). But they have outstanding customer service (shipping and return policy) and their shipping is lightning fast (and free).

Despite my previous comment, I think you're probably right about this. They could be worn in some work environments. But I don't think they're the right shoe for a younger guy looking to be taken seriously/move up in a more traditional office.

Hence their slightly higher shoe prices.

To me, they're a weird hybrid: the captoe makes them look too conservative looking for clubbing, but laces make them look like military boots. They don't look awful, I just can't imagine what kind of outfit could possibly suit them. Doesn't look like a very good quality leather, either. At 23, I think you're better off investing your money in a more serious shoe.

If money's really an issue, I think you're MUCH better off with this: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/1050277/c/3.html , which is only a few dollars more.

Wouldn't really last you a few seasons with good wear.

Putting my bias against Stacey Adams asided, those shoes are advised. Get a chukka plaintoe boot instead, as they are more appropiate (sp?) for business.

Oh and try getting into brown shoes
