Question about dress shoe leather

I just bought a pair of shoes that I intended to wear while soliciting business from high level executives in various industries including banking, real estate and insurance. I've learned a lot on this forum about what styles are appropriate (formality, etc.) but have a question about the actual leather itself.

The shoes are made of a really super soft glove-type leather and I am wondering if such a soft leather is considered less formal or business-like?

Also, I got these shoes off of ebay and am not familiar with the brand. They seem very well made and look great (Italian, Vibram sole) and are labelled Maraolo and Goldwyn. It seems Maraolo is a small chain on the east coast. Is anyone familiar? Thanks!

It's the rubber sole that makes them inappropriate in a high-level banking environment, for example. You'll find leather soles there almost exclusively. I'm fairly sure.

Thanks for the response but actually they are stacked leather soles/heel with a vibram rubber insert on the front (and small one in the heel)? Back to the original question, do you think the really soft leather is business appropriate? Thanks!

It's hard to tell from your picture but I would say that really soft leather is quite noticable on shoes in person. I personally would avoid wearing a shoe like that in a business evironment.
