My apologies if there is already a similar topic, but I wasn't able to find much by searching.

What would you guys recommend for a manpurse? I'm looking for something that's small enough to take anywhere, but big enough to hold all my stuff, e.g., MP3 player, earbuds, water bottle, cell phone, wallet, and either a sub-notebook (Asus EEE or MSI Wind), or a paperback. I've been told to look at messenger bags, but I don't really want anything quite that big. I normally wear jeans, tshirts, and sneakers, so I'm looking for something casual, but not douchey.

Obviously, cheaper is better, but I could go up to $100 or so. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I would go with a tote bag. As long as you are not putting straps over your shoulder you can still look pretty manly with a tote. I just bought a Rag & Bone tote in waxed cotton that I love. You could check out the Filson tote for a classic rugged look, or something by LL Bean or Eddie Bauer for cheap.

The most recent GQ had a comprehensive feature endorsing the tote bag and suggesting a couple models, including the Rag & Bone.

I've been gravitating towards smaller bags lately. I might get a clutch/folio of some kind soon.

I think I misspoke, I didn't mean bag. Something like their leather envelopes (which I just googled) would work, except I think they're a little boring, albeit very clean, design-wise.
