Purple Incotex Pants (Yikes!)...Color of Jacket?

So I bid on some 'royal blue' Incotex pants on ebay and won. Unfortunately, the 'royal blue' is more of a strong purple. Without much recourse, what color sports jacket...Maybe navy would be best?

Yeah it does look Blue in the pic. Is yours really on the purple side? Would love to see a pic if possible.

If it was that Royal Blue I would also say a Red casual SC unlined could look good for a day-time meet up for drinks or something.

I have purple pants, but haven't really figured out a way to wear them. No matter what I pair them with, they still look ridiculous and clownish, even for me.

The colour in the eBay photos is magnificent, it's a shame they don't look as good in the flesh.

I have a pair of Incotex cords in a sort of indigo / ink which has a touch of purple. I wear them with navy and a green tweed jacket with a fine purple check pattern. They look good with a charcoal overcoat too. If you are into British style, indigo/purple colours look good with fawn covert coats.

Bumping this thread as I just picked up a pair on B&S in this color. Always like the color when I saw it in person but now that I have it, have no idea how to wear it. Would be a bit more casual wear so just looking mainly for shirt and shoe color recs.

I have the royal blue (read purple) incotex pants. I wear them with a white linen blazer in the summer. They look great (total FU outfit).
