Yeah, not a bad selection for the last day. Picked up an argyle cashmere sweater ($49 from $495) and silk shell ($12.75 from $127.50) for my wife, and a beautiful Phineas Cole tan unlined sportcoat made from Loro Piana "Cashmere Cloud (93% cashmere, 7% silk)" for $75! Decent selection of loafers left in good sizes, as well as suits. Pretty happy.

For those of you that stopped by this morning/last night, do you recall if there were a decent amount of tuxedos still available? I'm looking for a peak lapel one for my wedding and I'm trying to figure out if it'd be worth it to leave work early to go take a look. Thanks!

I went there last night at like 5:30pm with money to burn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And walked out with nothing. I was so sad.

Was not impressed by the ties, the loafers, or the suits that were available in my size. I am a 40R.

However... I noticed a lot of nice things in other sizes.

Hopefully, they put out some new inventory for the final day of the sale.

Not sure there is much new inventory, but with suits and outerwear at 90% off, I found one of each that are great. Also there was a size 8 Grenson Masterpiece captoe for $50 as of noon that someone needs to buy. All shoes at 50 now and there were a few of the Grenson top end ones, the mainly in larger or smaller sizes. There were also still Stuart's Choice suits in 42 around as well as a couple PC models. Lotta blazers too, all 90% off. All things equal a pretty good selection for last day...

Agreed. There were some nice shoes in the size 8/9 range. Cap toes, etc.. In my size they only had the made in england loafers.

I was reading black tie guide and it mentioned that was really not the classic look for a tux (this is my first time going to a black tie event). The site also mentioned that it is possible to get the single vent converted to ventless. Anyone know a tailor in New York who would be able to do that?

Peppino sewed a Brooks Brothers vented suit shut for me.

Six Pairs of pants, a Samuelson suit, a Samuelson blue sport coat, 5 ties, 3 bow ties = 479 dollars.

Did anyone catch the name of the organization running it? They mentioned that they were running a sample sale for someone else intriguing next week (can't remember who) but forgot to sign up for the mailing list before I left.

BTW -- 44L, came up empty-handed. As of yesterday afternoon there were a ton of good shoes in size 8, sweaters in XXL, and lots of linen and pastel cotton pants. Plenty of suit inventory but nothing I'm yet confident enough to attempt...

I hope some of this stuff makes its way into B+S. Would like to get my hands some 38R suits, sport coats and a peak lapel tux. Unfortunately for me, I assume that 38R has been wiped out by now so I don't think the proxy route will work for me.
