PSA: Cheap Cufflinks ('cause nobody should ever wear silk knots)

I was looking to spend a small amount in my paypal account & came across a couple of sellers on ebay with $2-$5 shipped cufflinks. I bought 5 pair from this seller. Some examples:

This seller has lower prices but some of the backs look suspect, but they do have something for the pirate clan:

i'm wearing a silk knot right now. i'd much rather use a silk knot rather than some tacky cereal box cufflink. however, you did choose the best of the bunch, and most people don't know the difference between rt and what you've got up there.

I asked this already, but no response...although I suspect the difference between a $1 cufflink and a $300 cufflink will be too subtle for anyone to recognize. Unless I am wrong?
