I live in the NW, because of the rain I am forced to wear my most durable pair of shoes often. Here are my Alden shells with 1/2 rubber protectors installed on the sole.

I've never seen Alden's as they don't sell in Europe but I allways read comments in the forum about them being unstylish... but those are really great looking.

are Germany and Italy no longer part of Europe? AFAIK, they are quite popular in those two countries.

It's a toss-up between the Alden 984 and the AE Stockbridge.

probably a toss-up between the AE Cornell in Black and the Bruno Magli Kent chelsea in black - since those are the two black shoes I most often wear.

I wear brown more often, but it gets spread out over more shoes.

AE Polo
sized shoe trees from my hometown's shoe store's store stock, well loved and used for several decades (found in the attic of an antique store which took the retail space when the shoe store closed down)
handmade rug by my grandfather

First pair of shoes I bought after my new job. Went thru the heels and sole last year. Wore them 1-3 times a week, every week. It's great sucks that it's corrected grain leather, or else they would be my favorite shoe. When they give up the ghost maybe I'll replace them with burgandy and black shell cordo Aldens

Not here... I have seen some Allen Edmonds in only one shop in Geneva and I didn't liked them. True they are well constructed and look good quality but the designs are not of my liking.
