$1000 for that seiko SARW011 is out of line. The roman numerals are way too big, like on a cheap seagull, and there is no bother to slim the crown or make it flow with the lines of the case. The cocktail time is better looking and costs half that, and a $1000 seiko will net you a high quality, full titanium diver, the Sumo (SBDC007). I realize the sumo is a different category of watch, but at least you are getting some kind of engineering and machining for your money.

Lord Elgin US Steel presentation watch I found at the thrift last night for $25. Manual wind, stainless steel. Threw away the cheap metal band and added this RAF strap.

I've had an SKX007 for about 4 years now and tbh, I started to find it rather plain/boring. Just mailed it to MCWW today to get modded.

Be sure to post up some pictures when you get it back. I always enjoy seeing his mods, maybe a bit more so because I'm pretty sure he lives just a mile or two from me.

SKX007 'Seamaster' mod is on its way back to me. Here's a pic I received from MCWW:

Two packages came in for me the past few days. First is an Invicta 8926 Sub, which I modded with a green bezel. I'm in love with the LV look.

I also purchased a 22mm Stowa strap for my Tisell Flieger. Awesome pairing in my opinion.
