Does anyone have any info on Polo Ralph Lauren Bleeker ties? I just purchased a tie NWT of ebay and it has a label that states, "The Bleeker Tie". The tie is unlined, but has interlining. It measures 3 3/8" at the widest point.

It's a retro tie, made to vintage size and construction specs (more or less). They're narrower--maybe shorter--and have no tipping. The rear blade is also a bit wider at the end. I've sold a couple of them, maybe even have one still in the closet. I like them.

Alan C nailed it. I don't think it's different quality wise than the polo stuff - just a different design aesthetic.

I had a Bleeker tie but decided it was too hipster - very narrow, unlined wool. I think I sold it. I have a Bleeker chesterfield (that I want to sell, incidentally) that seems no different construction-wise from other RL chesterfields, except that it's cut a bit narrower and uses a heavier, more textured wool.

I have the same one that I bought on deep discount (I want to say between $10 and $20) at the RL store in SF about two or three years ago. I like it and wear it occasionally.

True. They're very evocative of the 1930s ties I've seen--both in shape and construction. Here's a pic of a 30s tie I own that's very similar in construction to the Bleeker.
