Hey, those are nice shoes. And it looks like you were shopping at Seibu. Unfortunately, they didn't have too much in tans and light browns.....most of the models are just black. I would have got those wholecuts if Seibu had carried them in a dark tan. Did you look at the Borgioli's? I got a pair of light brown twin monkstraps for 50% off..... Â

Yes, I saw some twin strap monks, but do not remember who made them now. They are too light in colour for my liking though, but I must admit that its last looks very elegant. There was a black pair, but not in my size. I am going to wax the wholecut tonight in preparation for their first wear

I am not sure if I should keep the monkstrap though because I have to punch an extra hole in the strap to have a more secure fit, especially on my left foot. What do you think?

What's the difference between Santoni Fatte a Mano and Santoni handmade? (Santoni handmade is more expensive).

Fatte a mano means made by hand. There is a great variation in quality and pricepoints within the fatte a mano range as far as I know. The most expensive pair could be 8-10 times the price of an entry level pair.

I've found few whole-cut that have appealed to me, but those that you've purchased are simply beautiful. Great find. Enjoy them.

They're the same; it depends on the model (norvegese are probably going to be the most expensive--in the 1500 and up range)
