I have an old standby pant from a particular company that I've been wearing for about five years now and own multiple pairs of, and an acquaintance asked where I buy them and now he's ordered some. I wonder if it was a mistake to tell him - not that I have a monopoly on the pants or anything.

Has he stolen the secret of your steez? Will it be like that voodoo pants commercial where the man is accidentally thrown into scary people and awkward situations?

I had that a while back. It means chicks dig you, and the dudes noticed.

Not to rate myself or anything, but I think it started when a guy I know's GF wanted to screw me and pretty well made no secret of it.

Three of four all rocked up to a party on the same night wearing my usual sorta black jacket, dark denim, shiny shoes thing (nothing special nowadays I know, but this was probably about 2003 so it was cutting edge by comparison). As it so happened, I was having a haute-cowboy moment, as I do from time to time, and they were all wrong-footed.

They learnt that night it's not what you wear, it's how you carry it off...

Be flattered that you wear the clothes well enough that others want to wear the same thing. Instead of looking down on them for it, offer advice and help them just as I'm sure those on this and other interent fora have helped you with your style. Your classmates know that they are dressing as you are and will feel more comfortable doing so if you don't look down your nose at them.
