What are your favorite foods and beverages that involve peaches?

I love peach-flavored things, but for one reason or another, they are relatively scarce in comparison to say, apple or berry.

I don't like peach itself... feels like a furry apple with soft meat. Tastes awesome, feels aweful.

I think the scarcity is a function of where you are and what the growing season is like.


Peach juice and liqueurs seem to be well used in getting women drunk. The other good thing is peach pie and pastry.

And fresh local peaches are incredibly good eaten plain.

Lets see... Peach Ice Cream can be extremely delicious done right, probably my favorite summertime dessert. Peach based marinates with grillen pork loin or chops are tasty. Roasted peaches are quite nice, I dig this set of pairings. http://ilovemilkandcookies.blogspot....ly-stoned.html

I have to agree with some of the other posters, peaches and good vanilla ice cream are a match made in heaven. I like my peaches on top of my ice cream in a bowl, or blended for a shake, if I am in the mood I will add a pinch of nutmeg to change things up.
