If my question comes off as being troll-ish, then I'm an even bigger noob than I thought I was. I was just asking what people thought of the suit. I know it's not a year-round suit, but I don't wear suits much in the summer anyway, unless someone has the poor taste to die in July.

Answer the question, or don't.

If you normally have a tough time buying suit and this works well for you, pull the trigger.

Considering the price I would say it is a fine suit. I myself am not a big j crew fan or of skinny ties and squared off pocket squares or anything really that looks like my pricipal would have worn in the 60's.

IMO the suit looks sharp but I would be quite skeptical to buy a suit, of all things, without trying it on...

The last time I was in a Crew store, I was told that you can't return items that were bought on sale.

yeah F that, Just go to some mid level store and get fitted in a suit for like 800ish or lower. That would be better than gambling with 400 $

Read the return conditions at jcrews website. I think unless the suit is in the Final Sale section, it is returnable with a stick on label that they ship in the box with you (and then deduct $5 from the credit back onto your credit card).

I came incredibly close to buying a Jcrew suit last weekend when they had 20% off the already sale prices (I'm on the mailing list and had a code) but in the end I don't really need another suit right now.
