Well, needless to say the tie hangs too low and the short end is longer than that long end...did he get dressed in the dark?

On the blog, the S explains that this is a deliberate affectation that allowed the S to mark him as an Italian.

Those ties must be hugely long to get that effect. Scott, tell Jay Kos that the pigeon toe thing is hot...on models. Female models.

i don't think it is so much that the tie is long than it is that the guy is short....

Is this tie really considered too long? I have always made mine a similar length and most the people I deal with through work I think they do too, but I never thought that they looked Italian. This is not how the Italian people dressed in my neighborhood growing up, in fact I don't ever remember seeing too many ties on the street.

All my ties look like that, I tuck the narrow end into my trouser band.
