Sneakers rec request!

I need some new sneakers. I'm tired of my new balances. I like the simple styling of tigers and new balances, but i want another brand that everyone doesn't have. I'd prefer not white shoes. Any advice on sneaker brands to look for?

For someone tall and skinny, would a double punched belt (with two lines of belt holes) look better?

My wife has an old, kind of thick cotton sweater that has broken in really nicely. It's really soft and has a nice washed look. Can anyone recommend a sweater like this for men? My first thought was to check j crew, but I thought I'd try the quick answer brigade.

If anything, when I picture standing up straight, shoulders back it maybe actually makes them a bit wider. When I slum my shoulders curve in, decreasing the width...

I'd stick around a while and read some more... the brands you mentioned will do for the style/cut but they're rather expensive in general and IMO are more like fashion suits then business suits... look around/search, there's a few threads on slim suits and stuff. do a search for posts with my username for something like "short" or "small" suits or something. there are a bunch of recs for people with around your height and weight around the $1K mark.

I want a good pair that will last for at least 6 months plus+ in the price range of 50-100$ help?
Basically? bacause they're cheaper materials, mass produced dye jobs, etc. You get what you pay for... and maybe you also only have one pair and wear them a bit hard... "Raw" denim (don't worry about selvedge or anything) is not predistressed, so you'll break it in yourself... it really should last longer, but the factors such as density, build quality, etc are still variable. I'd say that for the same $50 try either of the GQ pairs you mentioned, and see if there's any difference. If you like, then spend $150 on some APC's, if you like, then spend $200-250 on some crazy japanese stuff (we'll get there... all in good time). If you're willing to spend $100, i'd check the buy and sell here and other places like honest forums, my nudies, superfuture, etc and pick up a $150-200 jean for about $100 or so. Maybe lightly worn so they're more like the broken in stuff you're used to. Good luck

Looks like a good fit. Sleeves may be a tad long, but after a few washes it'll probably fit just fine. It's the right balance between slim, without being too "tight".

Can't decide between these two... Which do you think is more versatile? Also the less clunky the better (if you know anything about the shoes). Both are Red Wing.

edit: By versatile I mean, wear with anything from a peacoat to a leather jacket. I'm guessing this is a no brainer, but second opinions never hurt.

If you're a 32'' inseam, how many extra inches do you need for good stacking on raw denim? will 1 inch or 1.5 inches do?

Does anyone know any other stores that sell dior homme raw jeans? Yoox, Diabro, Neimans and Saks don't have any.

They are both versatile, but if you want less "clunky" I would say to go with the second pair.

Where can I buy Obenauf's Leather Preservative in Manhattan? (Would prefer to buy it in person rather than through mail order.)

Thanks. I just feel like the GT's are dressier, and I don't dress up much, although I would like to dress up more. This winter I'll probably be in v-neck sweaters, flannels, and hoodies.

If I'm a size 11 in Adidas, what size should I get in CPs, 43 or 44?
