The weak $ is another argument to buy American.
Interesting development: the Individualized Apparel Group has developed a mill in Chile to turn-out high quality cloth. European technicians and craftsmen have been sent to Chile to supervise and train the local workers.
They tried a test with one of the USA's top stores. The store's buyer was shown a bunch of high quality European cloths, and he was asked to make his selections for the upcoming season. About 6 of the Chilean cloths were mixed in the bunch and were unmarked. The buyer picked a good number of the Chilean cloths.
