After a slow start Loki ended up being the best Marvel show. Really enjoyed the final and can’t wait for season 2.

Wasn't a huge fan of the last episode of Loki - too much of one guy just lecturing. Surprise at the end was cool, but doesn't make up for 50 minutes of rambling.

As a general rule of thumb

I think unveiling the big bad in the final episode with no real prior setup is poor writing. That's why I was convinced it couldn't be Kang. My bets were on it being a version of Loki.

What made it work was the fact that they didn't tie up the story. It ended with a cliffhanger for the next season. Considering it was only 6 episodes you might as well view the final as the mid-point in what would be a normal television season.

Kang seems like he will be a fun villain. He had near-zero resemblance to the comic-book version of the character's personality, but it worked.

that was immortus, not kang the conqueror. immortus was the one warning loki and sylvie about how if he dies, they'll have to prepare for kang, and they even showed kang as one of the statues at the tva.

I mean isn't Immortus just a version of Kang? Kang has one of the most convoluted storylines in comics so it's probably doesn't really matter. lol

Yeah I thought the story took a really great direction and I’m looking forward to the second season but it was just so much monologueing that it came off as self indulgent to me.

I put wandavision slightly ahead of it - which is a high bar to clear

Definitely Wandavision>Loki>>>Falcon, but they've all been very solid for TV shows.

Agreed.

Like, I get wanting to keep the man behind the curtain vibe going until the last minute, but there's a way to do that without it just coming out of ******* nowhere and having to spend the whole episode monologuing to describe WTF is going on.
