I'm no vacuum expert, but Sweethome is usually pretty reliable for reviews and they recommend Miele over Dyson.

FWIW, I have a Miele canister vac and am happy with it, but also don't know much about the technicalities of this stuff. Usually just hit up Sweethome/ Wirecutter for reviews and take their recommendations.
Also the reddit vacuum guy seems to only have negative things to say about Dyson. He also recommends bagged over bagless.
