Up for sale is an incredible, new-with-tags Ballantyne sweater. Limited Edition. Ballantyne is a heritage brand that produced Pierce Brosnan's sweater in Die Another Day. They are sold for ridiculous retail prices at stores like Neiman Marcus and Saks.

This piece is a true staple. It's a v-neck cable knit in grey. 100% extrafine geelong wool. It has an incredible soft hand, and is much more durable than cashmere.

I am fairly certain it was made by Brunello Cucinelli for Ballantyne. (See pictures below)

I am fairly certain it was made by Brunello Cucinelli for Ballantyne. The reason I say this is because it was made in Italy, and has this tag.

Look familiar? Cucinelli is the only garment maker that I know that affixes tags with the words "Mr" and "Date" and followed by blank lines. The picture below is from a Cucinelli vest (see link here).
Cucinelli also used to make sweaters for Michael Bastian

It is tagged a 52, but fits like a Polo Ralph Lauren medium. Runs fairly slim, and the waist tapers in for a modern fit. (See measurements below)

Approximate measurements:

Chest: 23
Length from base of collar: 26
Sleeve: 29 ("funnel" sleeve is meant to be turned back)
