Having three pairs of Dover in my own rotation I have no problem singing the praises of this iconic RTW model from Edward Green.

For sale I have one pair of the Edward Green Dover in the quintessential Dark Oak Antique Calf, in my opinion the best EG colour and the grail version of this shoe. Crafted on the elegant 606 last, the slightly squared-toe cousin to the 202. This particular pair features a full double, oak bark tanned, leather sole; which I prefer to the HAF sole on this model. The apron of the Dover is sewn by hand using a pig's bristle, as described here: http://www.permanentstyle.co.uk/2010/02/hand-sewing-at-edward-green.html. Being Dark Oak Antique there is some EG burnishing at the toe and heel. Just an awesome shoe for Fall/Winter that will last for years before you'll need to resole them.

These are new with box, including a polishing cloth but no shoe bags. They're tagged as rejects on the box due to a flaw which only the most OCD geek would fret over. Note in one of the pictures that there is a slight scrape on the sole edge of the right shoe close to the heel. I couldn't even spot this myself until the EG sales assistant pointed it out to me, to which I replied somewhat surprised, "You would do that after wearing them 3 or 4 times anyway". The rest of the photos should prove that the uppers of this pair are absolutely in pristine condition, therefore you get here a 1st quality pair at much less than retail (it's really rare to find the Dover on sale in a size such as this). Some edge dressing of the sole would make the scrape almost invisible to the human eye.

Asking price is $900 -> $850 -> SOLD shipped CONUS or the EU

Outsole measurements
Width = 4 5/16"

how is the fit? true to size?

In my experience the 606 last fits true to size. I take a 9.5E in the 606 which equates to some of my other dress shoes, e.g. 9.5E Lobb 7000 & 1105, 43.5 Vass U. I size up to a 10E on the EG 82 and 888 lasts.
