Hey guys,

I am probably way behind the game, but can someone tell me what the deal is with Nubie Jeans is? Such as where you can get them in the states (preferably Chicago). How much do they cost? And which style and washes do you guys like the best.

I like my jeans loose, but not that loose. The ojas seems like they could be a good match.

Thanks a lot,

Parker

No, the Bootcut Ola are not loose by any means. They are actually pretty tight, but low waisted. (i.e : lose on the waist, tight on the tighs, bootcut).
One of my favourite cut for a pair of jeans.

i have a pair of the Regular Ralph in dry selvage. love these jeans as they have a great fit and the denim just looks/feels really nice. i have about 9 pairs of selvage jeans and i like the actual denim of the Nudies the most. i got mine for $220 at Barneys but i hear the price has gone up to $265 for the RR dry selv

yea, word is that Nudie has a distributer for America now and so retailers are getting their jeans through him and not straight from Nudie. He has the price at $265 for Dry Selvages.

And I agree, the RR DS denim is really fantastic. They are probably more along the lines of what youre looking for as far as fit goes.. they are sort of like Paper Denim LTD as far as fit goes. The bootcut Olas are pretty tight.

Does Nudie jeans go on sale in USA?

Coz recently I purchase a pair of RR dry selv for about 75 USD only in Asia.Too bad no dry greycast colour was available and I do not get the nudie "paper box". As an aside, Nudie jeans are pretty true to size unlike APC.

that's pretty cheap. i dont think they ever go on sale here in USA, that i've seen anyways. still, red flags pop up for me when Asia+prices-too-low-to-be-true are involved.

my RR sizing seems to run larger than tagged. almost 2" on mine. and my APC was close to tagged so i'm experiencing the exact opposite to your experience when it comes to sizing.

Get Smart, if you mean you're worried about counterfeiting, I think Nudie is far too obscure a brand -- relative to e.g. Ralph Lauren -- for this to be an issue.

yea you'd think so....i've not heard of any counterfeit Nudies but you never know......the yellowman will fake anything that remotely is in demand

Anyone else notice the NuBie instead of NuDie?

I think he means NuBie as in a weird way of saying Newbie

The one I got should be real. I purchase it from a store that is featured in adidas superstar 35th anniversary consortium series. My guess is either the brand is changing dealership so they must clear out the stock or there is some insane markup.

And indeed, Nudie is still a very obscure in many parts of the world. When I asked the sales about the jeans, she has no idea that the store carries it at all; instead, she just points me to the sales rack and I find them there.

Btw, just want to add my 2 cents about the common APC Vs Nudie question. Besides fit and construction, I really think they projected different type of images for the wearers. Nudie, with its bright and more substantial stitchings and oversized beltloops is more flamboyant whereas APC is more subtle and classy.

Nudie bootcuts, half rolfs were on sale at Barney's today. Around the order of $129 or something -  I can't remember for sure. I just remember they were on the sales counter and man are the thighs tight.
