I know this thread may seem ridiculous, but what do you guys think about Lincoln's collars and bow tie?

Tie looks loose. But more importantly, he needs a shave.

Is it just me, or did the engravers think to themselves "no way am I going to make this bow tie anatomically correct, so lets just give him a clip on."

Cause it looks like his neck is encompassed by a band and the bow just sits on top of the band.

I just thought it looked funny that the collars look good but the bow tie looks messy/anatomically incorrect.

I'm not in the US right now, so I can't look at one "live", but the more I look at the pic you posted, the less I like it. The shirt collar looks nice, but the way his neck comes out of it looks weird. And the tied part of his tie looks like it's just hovering, not even connected to the part going around the collar.

Don't even get me started on the way his hair is coming over the top of his right ear.

I think that is a characteristic symptom of Marfan syndrome, as is being so frail that you get physically abused by your gambling-addict wife.

I think it might be ready for a comeback. I've been looking at old-style ties and bowties such as these for a little while now. I'd love to have one made to look more modern, though I'm not sure how right now.
