"Contact Us' at Napoli Coast refers to Tie Align LLC in St. Louis. I was under the impression that Chuck was a confirmed Texan but have no other details to support or refute a link.

If this is true it makes me

But beyond that, how on earth could they think they could put it past us?

Very similar.
I have to ask why is the CF website still 'live' though?

I guess someone is going to have to buy one to see the sales tax and invoicing data!

While it may make for a fun thread, I hate to break it to you all that it's not Chuck. The domain name is registered to another person from St. Louis, MO (see http://whois.domaintools.com/) who seems to be the proprietor of tiealign.com and also posts on AAAC, so he's definitely not Chuck.

Also, it should hardly be surprising that an online seller of Italian seven-fold ties has a very similar website to another (former) online seller of Italian seven-folds. Businesses imitate each other all the time (it's called mimetic isomorphism for those interested in org. theory

).

The $197 price tag is certainly higher than CF's.

Maybe they use the same factory, so that would explain the similarities in designs and colors.

They could also be using similar site templates (or whatever you call them). I've noticed some web sites that are pretty similar but, I'm sure, not connected.

Andy reviewed a Napoli Coast tie on his site, and an answer (no relation) was given by the owner:

http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/f...ad.php?t=79100

It still makes me wonder why on earth someone would mimic the design of a competitor who went out of business and left a bad taste in the mouth of many customers.
