As promised in this thread, these are the pics of my first bespoke shirt.

http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=112279

The shirt was made from Egyptian cotton by Charles Nakhle in Parramatta. Its white in colour with some texture. First time I got it, I had to take it back to get the armhole moved up and sleeves tapered.

Excuse the background, its the disabled toilet at my work place.

The shoulder are too wide- makes it look like you had someone elses shirt altered for you.

I know, it's strange - despite the odd seams, the fit overall looks good. EDIT: actually, the cuffs can be tightened a little bit more.

has the shirt been washed yet?
do you have a friend who could take the pictures, or do you have a camera with a self timer?

yoke is way to wide.
body fit is nice. did a nice job around neck line.
sleeves are nice and slim.
sleeves could be to long.
cuffs seem to big as well.

Another example by the same shirtmaker - is it any better? Excuse the pants and poorly-folded cuff.

thank you for the comments!

There are two buttons lined up horizontally on the cuffs, I only buttoned the first one for comfort reasons, maybe that's why they look loose.

The left cuff is baggier than the right one since I wear my watch on my left arm, however now that you mention it, I think it is a bit too loose even with my watch on. I'll talk to him about it.

The shoulder and sleeve lengths look alright to me, maybe its the photos. I will take some more photos this weekend when the gf comes over.

The shirt costed $195 AUD, not exactly cheap, but cheaper than my Eton shirts (> $300 including alterations).

regards,
Song

The shoulder seams should be right at the break of your shoulder, and not down your arm. I think if you have them adjust this, then you will have a nice pattern and a good fit.

The second one is better. First one just needs everything just a bit tighter.

Don't be fooled by the "group think" on darts. Some people like them, some people don't. I was recently acquainted with them, and now love them, so to each their own.

If you want a decent opinion on the fit, you need better pictures.
and take your hands out of your pockets.
you need front, back, and side with the collar unbuttoned and sleeves buttoned
then front, back, and side with collar and cuffs unbuttoned.

no arm waving.

The shoulders are too big and the sleeves are a bit baggy, which are causing them to wrinkle.
