My annual Idol poll...who wins?

So I did this last year....yayayaya, you didnt know it was on and who are these people and all that crap.....

Anyhow - who do you guys think will win - the chick or the dude?

My wife and I watch it. In fact, we participate in a pool at work; I won last year, which is really nothing to brag about I guess....

Anyhow, the girl (Jordan) will win this year. The guy (Blake) was more original and artistic, but she seems to have a broader appeal. Both my wife, myself, and several other people in our pool picked Jordan to win this year (we made are selections at the very beginning of the season). My wife is the only one to pick #1 Jordan and #2 Blake, so she will likely win the pool this year (under $100).

Jordan is very charismatic when she is being interviewed or simply talking to the camera. However, she is very wooden on stage when she is performing. Carrie Underwood was the same way (ie stiff on stage), but she has improved since winning the show; there is little doubt that Jordan will also mature into a better performer (and match her singing abilities), particularly since she is so young.

I didn't watch the first season because I thought the show was too contrived (and patently lame) Then my wife made me share the remote control and I was "forced" to watch season 2. Since then we have been pretty hooked. Hard to believe, but there you go....
