I'm tempted to say that isn't very bizarre. It can be made out of horses. . .

Besides, we all probably have ingested some every time someone uses a wooden cutting board to prepare food....

But, I'm hoping you have an entertaining story about consuming wood glue.

Same. Though jellied eel has to be in the running. The eel itself wasn't bad at all, but the jelly... bleh.

Hmm. I've eaten a lot of sea cucumber. Not very bizarre to me, but other people think so. Same goes for duck and chicken feet. And pig feet. And the gelatin made from pig feet.

Never eaten a bug, never will. Same goes for rodents and reptiles. Blegh.

Every damn Sunday. My father was a Church of Christ minister growing up in Fort Worth, TX and we were only allowed eat to pink, gelatine based foods.

Aah, [horrible] memories.

Cubes of congealed pig's blood, I guess.

Fish cheeks were another fun one.

in our culture:cow's penis, balut, raw sea snail entrails, salmon's gums, turtles, whole stuffed frog are pretty normal fare at home and in some restaurants I frequent, but to eat cheese other than grocery cheese, aged beef, dried stuff like salami are pretty bizarre for most folks.

The most traditionally odd ones are a tie between sea horses, scorpions and a shot of liquor with a snake marinating in it. All in China of course.

But like the other guy upthread, strange concoctions by old women are definitely the most bizzare. It was like a mad scientist was working for Betty Crocker back in the 40's-50's and brainwashed all these women into making these odd creations.
