I'm not sure onthe details of how it works, but I'm under the impression that I apply toa particular college.
My cousin is going to Oxford, her family is well to do but not $80k on hand well to do, I think you are misinformed.
Yup, I did grad school at Oxford and I didn't have to show any funds to get acceptance...
Being the janitor doesn't really count as "doing grad school." A for effort though.
OK serious answer/advice: finding the funds doesn't matter unless you actually get in. So, ask your grandparents to provide you a letter for the school's admission department stating that they would sponsor you and fully fund your tuition and living expenses. No you're not actually asking them for money - yet. Most (all?) universities are satisfied with a sponsor letter. Now, if you get in, start a new thread asking for advice on where to find the money you really need - obvious answer is to get a loan.
