I was in love with these Barker Blacks, but my snipe was only $440, so I narrowly missed out:

Anybody have a recommendation for some nice green or purple shoes (in a US 9.5), in a shade that is classy, not gaudy, comparable to the above in style and price? I think these would have looked great with either formal jeans or a suit...

Check out shopthefinest.com for their selection of Sutor Mantellassi shoes. I'd recommend getting a pair of chukkas to wear with jeans.

That green is a bit hard to pull off.
Think there is still an EG RLPL available in a nicer shade of green with patina.
May be your size too.

Looked for it in fleabay for you. Seems to have been sold. I thought I saved it in my fleabay but seems thats not the case.

Anyway, I recall it was listed as Black but when you looked at it, it was not Black. Nice shoes I thought. Better than your BB.

I would like to see a tux made in this material. Photoshop anyone?

Barker Black is Green?
Joking aside BB size 8.5 barely = US8, so they would have been too small for your US9.5 feet.
Personally, I would only consider BB Boots at that final price of $440.00, according to my intimate knowledge of this brand, none of their shoes are special enough to be worth $400+ At this price we are in a territory of C&J hand-grade from Plal.com, which I would prefer to BB.
