I'd like to get some decent rubber soled boots for rainy days. Balmoral is preferable (for wearing with suits).

Does anyone make these (Trickers/Loake/Paraboot, etc)?

I know you can get the rubber soled boots from EG like the shannon, but I'm not eager to spend $1500 on a rain shoe.

Interested in this too. For those snowy day. And yes, being balmorals is a plus. Have never found any balmorals in this range.

C&J Snowdon is a good option. I bought a pair from BB that was similar but is no longer showing up on the site.

What's your budget? If you get them in calf, they'll be less than $1000.

there is no such thing as a mid-priced balmoral, available new. There are barely any balmoral boots, period.

your best bet is to wait for the new AE line to come out. It is not rubber soled

You can do a special order w/ Ron for the same boot in calf leather.

He made a calf version for $725. I'd send him a PM and see what he has.

That's what i was going to say. It doesn't come rubber soled but you can get it custom made. At $525 for shell plus a $125 make-up fee, it will still be well under $1000.

Can I have some more details (pic if available), if this new AE line? I know that they have a new line coming out soon but don't recall to have any balmoral boots...
