I am in the process of buying this jacket from another forum member. I am contemplating wearing it with chocolate-colored light wool pants, a cream shirt, a yellow-base tie with a faint brown and copper geometric shape design, and brown suede oxford shoes.

I'm think dark gray pants, ice blue shirt, a dark blue tie with a yellow geometric design, and black loafers will also work with the jacket.

I'm interested in any other pairing options members suggest.

I like your first choice as long as the pants are not the exact same color of the jacket, it will look like a failed attempt at replacement pants. Disregard the 2nd option, brown and grey don't go so well together.

You could throw in the light blue shirt with the first combination as well, instead of the cream colored one.

Be different. Wear it with white flannels.

I seriously think that would look good as a casual summer ensemble.

Some outstanding suggestions - thank you. The tan pants and pink shirt with a burgundy tie sounds splendid. I'm a ways off from the white flannels idea...but still mulling it over.

I think keep the pants lighter than the jacket, and I really like the white or cream flannel idea. Otherwise go with tan or gray (which might be darker than the jacket). I think chocolate would be too close in color to the jacket itself.
