Hey everyone
So I'm nearing the end of my university career, and looking to the future, I realized that I can either graduate with a major or honours in Chemistry, in almost the same amount of time - 36 versus 49 credit hours.
So, basically, while the Honours will cost me 2K more in tuition (which I can afford) + opportunity costs (13 credits being most of a semester), is it worth the extra time versus effort? I realize this is a personal decision, but does anyone in the field know whether a the Honours helps at all w/r/t job prospects, entry salaries/promotion potential, etc?
I suddenly remember Gibonius saying something like you'll need a MSc or PhD if you want to do anything fun or make decent money, and the Honours should be able to help with getting into one of those programs, correct?
