How is my post a sales pitch? I don't work for the company, and couldn't give two sh-ts whether you buy a suit there or not. Jesus...I thought I was doing my fellow members of a voluntary forum a solid by sharing my experience.

Man, your cynicism is sad.

First posts complimenting a somewhat under discussed company, can often make the poster come off as a shill.

Just received a suit from Indochino.
Was really disappointed with the lapel roll. Having said that, I had a friend that has ordered suits from them, and it fit pretty well.

I guess it really depends on your luck.

Just noticed something regarding EverythingBespoke and thought I would comment.

My friend has had 3 suits from them over a 2 year period and has been most pleased. He has had to make a few alterations to the jacket skirt for more kick but overall, quite nice for the price. He has also tried Suit Row who allowed him a bit more play with regards to design. Again, happy.

One thing I have noticed (Having worked at the top end of tailoring for over 10 years) is that people bash this new breed of cheap online tailors, but I feel it's a good thing as it allows people on tight budgets to get a suit that looks better then one off the peg. I used to feel bad before when I would get a call asking if I can make a suit for £300 (Ours started at £1500)..I could hear that the person was skint but just wanted a decent suit. I'm all for high quality, but the guy trying to get a job who's off the peg suit looks dreadful..where does he go? So I welcome affordable tailoring.

For sure it is not for everyone but there's a really simple answer to that - Go and see one of the countless tailors offering semi & full bespoke. But why bash cheap options.

I recently ordered a suit from everythingbespoke, the eBay MTM retailer, and it's spectacular. It conceals all evidence of my worst features, accentuates my best, and makes me look much better than I deserve. So far, I've worn it out twice and gotten a lot of compliments and remarks. It's strange, I'll admit, to wear a suit that looks better than everything else in the room. I'm self-conscious about that kind of attention, and I'm not sure I like it.

Customer service was prompt and courteous, and despite insisting that five-to-six weeks were required, I had the suit in just under three. Total price was around $140. You can't beat the price, and I'm thoroughly pleased with the product.

I'm ordering three shirts from them soon and another suit. If I have any complaints, it would be that the fabric isn't the nicest I've ever felt....but then, I selected the cheapest budget stuff instead of the better premium fabrics to minimize the risk. For somebody like me, with a weird body distribution that off-the-rack just doesn't address, it's amazing how well it fits.

I've attached a couple of shots for reference purposes.

That is not a bad suit at all. Trousers look decent and the jacket isn't bad. I gave my view on the growth of budget tailors and this seems to re-affirm my view. For the money you spent on this (under £100??), it would be tough to get a suit off the peg that fits ok.

Those are far from decent garments especially the trousers. Your advertising has provided adequate condemnation of this supplier.

Yes "luck" that is the kindest description of online MTM that I have seen. 'Disaster' is the usual one.

More advertising. What is your connection with them?

[...]

I can now answer this myself. I e-mailed Suit Row and asked if their suits are canvassed. Here's their reply (which was startlingly quick for late on a Sunday afternoon, by the way):

"All of our suits have a floating chest canvas but we can make it fully
canvassed for a small extra price of £50."

That's a bit encouraging, I think.

Cheers,

Ac
