As I try to read the article from within China, "The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."

The Chinese don't seem to care whether the goods are real, as long as they paid a lot of money for it and it has a big logo. There's very little research put into their purchasing. The "nouveau riche" here have yet to develop any sort of discriminating taste. The lack of intellectual property laws screws these companies. I can't even count how many 'Louus Vuton' stores I've seen with similar layouts to the legitimate boutiques, or Velsace and Almani stores. Regardless, I love my Calzin Klein underwear and Nike socks with the reverse swoosh.

I don't imagine this is political, or, if it is, the orders are local and have nothing to do with the central government. The countless LV stores in Shanghai and Beijing haven't been effected by this, so it must be some strange local situation, would be very interested to hear the whole story behind it, but that isn't going to happen...
