Lunch in Chicago

Wife and I are heading to Chicago Fri-Sun and I am looking for lunch recommendations for Fri and Sat. We have dinner lined up at Girl and the Goat Friday and Sepia on Saturday. We are staying at the Westin on Michigan Ave, so any spots close to that would be great. Looking for anything from pizza to a sit down meal on the pricier side.

Thanks in advance.

blackbird and topolobampo are my two favorite spots for lunch in chicago. both are on the pricey side as far as lunch goes, but if you do the prix fixe at blackbird it is actually quite reasonable.

I really like Vivo, a little italian joint in the west loop. You can't go wrong with Mastro's (if you can get in). Best pizza is Lou Malnati's if you want deep dish, and La madia for thin crust.

For a more mainstream, yet local favorite steakhouse checkout Wildfire. just my 2 cents.

Mastro's, Topo and Avec are awesome but very expensive. For something also very good but a bit cheaper, check out Purple Pig.

Thanks for all of the replies, much appreciated. My wife mentioned going to Frontera Grill, is it a good option? I'd love to try Topolobampo but it looks to be tough to get a reservation.

if you're flying american, frontera grill at the american airlines terminal is one of the best airport eats i've had!

Au Cheval on Randolph or Longman and Eagle in Logan Square or Pleasant House Bakery on the south side

Topo is easier to get into than Frontera. If you want to try Frontera, arrive about an hour before lunch service ends and grab a spot in the bar.

David Burke's Primehouse offers fantastic dry aged ribeye/sirloin burgers at lunch. Reasonable price, too.
