The only time I could see them working would be for someone 70+ and disgustingly wealthy. A tycoon type. The kind of guy who also wears a velvet smoking jacket whilst sitting in the library of his 15 bedroom mansion country estate.

I'd love to wear one, but don't really have the cojones. I think it's potentially do-able on dark winter's day, in place of an overcoat, provided there's no gaudy buckle/brooch. One day maybe...

pink or lilac denim.

mens ballet slippers in metallic leather. Yes I've seen them on men in San Francisco, more than once. several times worn with pink denim.

Ascots, velvet pants, ironic t-shirts, logo-belt buckles, bracelets, etc are all off my personal list.
