I am going to be in Europe in a few months and am looking for a black blazer made for me. I'm looking for a place that can make a blazer with generous >4" lapels, strong, straight shoulders, and some nice pickstitching. Something like this:

I have 0 experience with bespoke, so I am not sure if any tailor could make this style or if I should ideally find someone with this style. I do know that Husbands does a similar style to this and am currently having another suit made by them. Please let me know, thank you!

My budget is <$2,500

If you have a specific style in mind, it's always better to use a tailor who has a similar 'house style' than to expect a tailor to make a jacket that looks very different from their own house style.

With that in mind, Edward Sexton makes bespoke, MTM, and RTW jackets that are right up your alley.

Your budget would not allow for a Sexton bespoke jacket. Their MTM might work, however. No personal experience with either, but their bespoke services are well regarded here I think.

Also poke around this thread if you are serious about bespoke -- be aware of the differences between real bespoke (pattern is cut specifically to you and only you) versus made-to-measure (pattern is modified based on your measurements from a block pattern that is specific to the maker) when you compare different makers that advertise 'bespoke'. Beware any maker who claims they make a 'bespoke' jacket but actually is using a MTM process.

There are apparently tailors in Italy who could make a bespoke jacket near your price point, but I have not heard of any who cut a jacket with the silhouette you're looking for.

Thanks so much for all this information. I'll check out the thread. As as Italy goes, I heard Rome has a style called a continental cut suit that is somewhat similar? Straight shoulders, bigger lapels, but it doesn't seem so well documented on the internet

Where exactly in Europe or are open to travel? I think this is closer to French style i.e. with a cigarette. Any bespoke tailor would be able to make a garment according to your preference.
