Looking for great pair of brown oxford dress shoes???

[PRL Style]

Anyone have any ideas on some desigers that I should be on the lookout for. Want to get another pair of brown dress shoes to add to my collection. Feel free to post some pictures, looking for something in the $300-$700 range that can be resoled when needed...maybe a pair of Salvatore Farragamos like these below.

Those shoes are nice, but the tip is a little too wedged shaped for my taste. But if it works for you, then good for you.

For alternatives, check out the shoe Appreciation thread. Alternatively see the leffot blog or for the same price range, the Crockett and Jones range at Bodileys.

The link appears to be dead, but for the $300-700 range, I would agree with the sentiment above a take a look at Crockett & Jones. If you're into cordovan, I would highly suggest Alden as well.

Those first ferragamos looks nice.

Check for some edward greens on ebay. I recently saw some gorgeous pairs in the 400-500 range. Check for grensons too.
