So the last few pages have been littered with people to be blocked and crappy jackets. Great.

You know what, buddy - I personally can live with looking at crappy jackets from time to time, but the people who are over the top snobbish and so full of themselves, make me sick to my stomach.

Not trying to be a keyboard warrior, but this thread is supposed to be about really cool, interesting, or otherwise superlative jackets. The H&M jacket obviously doesn't qualify, and it's an exhausting phenomenon largely exclusive to leather jackets where their value is defined by some based on their heritage, age, or ability to stop asphalt from shredding your flesh away. This is a thread for cool looking jackets.

My comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but it was pretty harsh, so I apologize. But it would be nice to see this thread get back on track.
The title said "Best leather jackets" and I happen to be one of many who thinks that when it comes to leather jackets (also non-leather jackets, boots, bags, belts, and jeans) value is often defined based on their heritage, age, or ability to stop asphalt from shredding your flesh away. And I believe that a vintage USN G1 jacket, is cool. I believe that the cotton wrists and waist being replaced at some point with leather makes it more interesting than the average G1. And I believe that a 40 year old jacket that is still holding up represents a superlative quality. You and I just have a different definition of "best" when it comes to leather jackets. No need to pity each other.

You read "best leather jackets" and it translates as "cool looking jackets"

I read "best leather jackets" and it translated as "(insert and maybe discuss personal reasoning here) leather jackets" and I assumed that others here might agree with me that heritage, age, and the ability to stop asphalt from shredding your flesh away might be an accepted definition of "best" regarding leather jackets... But I have since found the vintage clothing thread, so if nobody here agrees with me on my definition of "best" you can find me over there.

In an effort to play with you guys, though, what do you all think of Lewis Leathers? If I had $1000 to spare, I'd throw both my leather jackets away and get one from Lewis...

Probably a better idea to save yourself $300 and research TOJ if you want another leather jacket. They go for around $700ish. I've always disliked snap buttons on leather jackets. Makes no sense and "dates" the jacket immediately.
