The straps on that Cromford shearling look like chunky little cowhide belts with their own roller-buckles, no wonder LA Guy likes it.

If I was going to splash out on a Irvin style jacket I think I'd rather have the Eastman version with the rare-breed curly Devon fleece.

Can someone recommend a shop for leather alterations? I have a Layer-0 leather that I really like except the sleeves are too long.

I'll be in NYC/Philly next month and visit SF regularly but willing to ship anywhere in the US.

Years ago (when I was like 17) I found this in my father's closet among some old clothes. Few days ago my oldest son, now 17, found this in my closet... and he thought it's now his. Ha... wait a sec sonny... nor so fast. Ok, I'll let him wear it.

How would you folks call this? Leather blazer? Field jacket?
It has no tag on it, no idea who made it, I've no idea what kind of leather this is. Seems too heavy for sheep, but doesn't look like cow.

I’m consigning stuff at the local vintage store to pay for this but I’ve borrowed it for the day. Can’t wait to get it home.
