Hi all, I'm new here. Just wanted to get some feedback on leather jacket length, specifically biker style. Pretty much every piece of advice I read is that the jacket must not under *any* circumstances fall below the belt line. Trouble is pretty much every single jacket I have ever tried falls around my jeans pockets, which is about two inches below the bottom of my belt, and pretty much every make I see has very similar jacket lengths for each respective size. I have a short torso and longer legs for my size. The only way I think I'd be able to get one that lands perfectly on the belt line is by having one custom made to a 23" back length, which isn't too realistic a monetary proposition right now.
Can the gurus here give any advice about whether the general wisdom is that there is *some* leeway allowed depending on torso length etc? I don't *think* my jackets look too long on me, but now that I've read more advice it's got me paranoid I'm committing some sort of faux pas!
