I think it's called being playful and flirtatious. I'm not sure, though, I'm fairly inexperienced with women, as seems to be the case with many Internet posters.

I think they are turned on my the idea that they can pull a guy in closer with his tie...

Not to mention the innuendo of undressing.

I like knit ties -- don't own too many but every once in a while I think its a fun way to mix things up.

Knit ties are fun and I think one of the few ties that can be worn casually.

yayeas...jeans and a military type button down loosely tied and top button undone is the coolness.

That was my point though... it was my thing, starting in about 2002... J. Crew and others weren't making them back then as far as I can remember. As I said before... I think it's a good look, I recommend it. But I imagine a lot of people here can relate to the feeling that they were ahead of a particular fashion trend, and not wanting that trend to become too popular.

It's like a band you like going mainstream and becoming popular, but you were a fan before anyone knew who they were. I don't know... I just don't want it to become overplayed, that's all.

I have about 15 silk knit ties now...it all started a couple of summers ago when I spent the summer in Houston, TX. I drove down from NC and on the way, made it a point to stop at virtually every Polo outlet on the way down. I guess they had a lot of excess inventory because I would see a new color at each outlet. I have stripes and solids, but no polka dots. I like the blue label silk knit ties as I think the Purple Labels are too thick and the Black labels are too thin. I have a few J Crew which are also nice but I prefer the Polos. And what's funny is that I paid $10 each for almost all of them.

Where can one buy Knit Ties for a cheap price? Maybe $20-$25 range (cheaper if possible)?
JCrew seems to be out of it at the moment. Hickeystyle.com still has it for around $50, although I particularly like this one.
