So I bought one of their gingham's to check them out. I didn't properly heed warnings and ordered the neck size I usually wear in other, more fat-person oriented brands, and was quite.. Constricted. Did some sewing and let it out a bit and it's wearable, albeit the placket is a bit.. Asymmetrical. I'm quite impressed though, and for the price the fit/style seems just what I'm looking for. Sizing up on future purchases.

seems to look ok. but like the staprest, you def have to size up from your norm on the shirts too.

The collar roll on their shirts is quite nice, I prefer these shirts to Ben Sherman's.

    did you size up?

No, but I have very slim thighs. Like get smart said, if you have any bulk or muscle in your legs, size up.

I'm a W28 - my thighs are quite slim but I have 'cyclist calf' muscles. Are they tight here too? Also, it's a shame they're not cotton rather than polycotton. I know sta-prest IS polycotton but Fred Perry put out some great looking all-cotton chinos/trousers that were Sta-presty about a year ago but they now seem to be un-googleable aside from an eBay seller selling larger waist sizes. I'm thinking of getting some for Spring/Summer and polyester isn't great for me in warmer weather.

What about the Bretton jumpers? I'm a 34-36 in chest depending on the cut of the garment. Would it be more like a 34" if I'm after a figure-hugging look?

Oh well, I suppose a day-trip to Brighton's never dull.

the legs are small at the hem too (between 7-7.5 on size), so if you have big calves it might be tight If you can get to the shop, you really should try them on. anyways, here's a quick pic of my black staprest I'm wearing today [IMG] ^^re: Breton jumper, I'd go with the 34 then

How are the sleeve lengths for their long sleeve shirts? I checked the size chart on their website: [IMG] and the largest sleeve length measures at 24.5" which seems short and wouldn't even hit my wrist. I'm assuming Measurement D is the outseam of the sleeve measuring from the shoulder to the end of the cuff. Thanks for any help.

They only make 1 sleeve length and I'd equate it to a 33 (at least on a size 16, not sure how it's graded for other sizes). It's not going to work for everyone and without sounding like a broken record again, it's perfect for me as if they used me as a fit model

Looks like the long sleeves will be too short for me on sleeve length then. Thanks for the help.

    Hey Jason,

Thanks for letting us rooks know about sites like this and warrior clothing, I for one really appreciate it. I'll show my appreciation when I've lost my weight by grabbing a suit or three.

I've been looking to get some fred perry stuff, a harrington, couple of polos and a sweater - JtG looks like I'll be able to get the polos and a sweater, that grey cotton cricket sweater is awesome.

The navy covert coat looks interesting as well - pretty much exactly what I've been searching for for some time.

Prices for fred perry in australia are 2-3 times converted British pound.

    Scary.

    Thanks again Jason!

I just received my L/S BD, and the fit is so fucking great. I wear a small in BoO, and the 15 fits perfect. My only compliant is the sleeves are a little fuller than I prefer.

I've been to the store, had a great time.

Adam asked me if I was going to tuck in my shirt

    I said I don't usually tuck in my button-downs.

"What?! OF course you're going to tuck them in"

+2. Also, do you guys think the sleeves on the longsleeve solid bd's would look weird if you had a tailor turn them into short sleeves?

Bought a JtG suit two weeks ago, received it last week (from England to Finland in less than a week, nice!). It's quite nice and after some alterations it should be great. Love the cut and it seems to be pretty nice quality too (however, I'm no expert when it comes to suits).

Great store, can't wait to see it in person.

JtG suits are really nice, the fit OTR is really spot on for a fitted suit

I'd recommend their harringtons too. It's what a 'working class' G9 should be without the "pedigree and price" of going Baracuta. Fit is pretty much like most other G9s...IME best sized down 1 from what you think your "normal size" is. And like most G9s arent suited for those who are tall and have really long arms.

@GetSmart Did you ever pick up the brown/khaki microcheck trousers from them? I loved htem when I saw them at the store, but alas no sizes. [IMG] Adam sent these swatches to me, next trousers coming out from them. I tried on a 34s suit at the store. I remember not falling in love, I think because it was a 3-button.
