Agree with this. The whole point of cast 1 is for a looser fit. Measurements aren’t that much different which makes me believe going TTS is the way to go.

But with that said idk bc I haven’t tried Cast 1.

JE website says the Cast 1 recut is “slightly loser in the leg”, but tried on 32 and 31 and the waist had too much room for my liking. The fit I went with was what the JE associate said looked good for my body and my girl approved. Your results may vary as we are all different, but if the JE website is accurate and the breakin adds up to 1” to waist and .5” in the thigh, the waist will be way too roomy at TTS. True, maybe 1 down from TTS is closer to the “purpose of the idea”, but the waist was still a bit loose for my liking at 31 and a bit worrisome given the break in notes on the JE site. Not telling people how to wear, just a heads up that TTS in Cast 1 shale was really roomy in waist.

Dude, SERIOUSLY, I’m not denying the fact there was an adjustment in 2016. The size chart I attached was still on the site last year, 2018. Therefore pairs from mainline were still being reproduced up until the point they changed to the current cast 2 size chart.

Fair enough. But that would Also indicate the size chart is inaccurate, as per a 32 in Cast 2 measuring at 34.8”, but a 31 in Cast 1 measuring at 34”.

Somehow you’ve managed to drift off my original comment and turn it into a discussion as to what happened three years ago. The majority of the consumer base isn’t on the forum, therefore when someone wears two different sizes which physically fit different, in the same denim (cast 2) logic would lead you to think they adjusted the fit. Regardless if the sizing chart I posted was “right” or “wrong” it’s what people based their size off of.

I've given up on Escobars and Rios bc of how much they bag out on me after a few hours of wear.

Do you guys find the same thing with Ebisu or Spec Fleece? Hesitant to keep going down this road if they do.

Yeah Escobars get annoying unless you soak them in water and let them dry they get tight for the next couple of wears. Even the black ones. I did not have the problem with Rios. They fit snug so not enough room for that. But I have them in grey which are tighter. Ebisu as they are have too much drop crotch for me and the sagging would make it even worse.

2016ish was the last update to cast 2. Everything since then has been the same. JE did update the sizing chart a year ago to more accurately reflect the actual measurements but that’s it.

So Cast 2.5 from 2016ish to now has all been the same cut.

Wish JE would have given the ‘Cast 2 recut’ a different number such as 2.5 or 3. I’d imagine other retails still have original Cast 2 cuts still in stock/circulation but there’s no way to tell a difference unless you order multiple sizes

we have not modified or changed the fit of the Cast 2 since 2016. @nsubrmnn is 100% right.
