My wife's Celine bag is unstitching in some spots. That was $4k. **** happens. There's always gonna be some manufacturing defects.
JE has hands down one of the best qualities for the price that I have owned. I appreciate the goods he releases

Exactly. **** happens. Maybe its a quality issue. Maybe its the customers fault. There is no way to know. But when you go back to the company and they do nothing, it shows they don't really care. JE should at least offer the guy a 10% off coupon or something.

Nice anti-consumer stand you have there.

No I just think you're wasting your time on here, nothing comes of complaining on style forum for the most part. I think you're better off contacting them directly or advertising your complaint on something that gets more traffic like the JE Facebook page or twitter page. You can also contact your credit card company and see if they offer some sort of extended warranty or see if they can handle your dispute. If you do those things and nothing comes of it and you hate JE then spend your money elsewhere. But seriously whining on SF gets no where.

The dude might have been wearing a size too small or even two sizes too small so when he stretched, that ish ripped. CS wouldn't know. I think the point is, it's been an entire year.

The next best thing to JEs "1 new post" popping up on IG, is a fit pic. Thanks!
Slate looking good, shouldn't have passed that one up

Lol. Thanks for expanding on my point that "Maybe its a quality issue. Maybe its the customers fault. There is no way to know."

Its been a year? Who gives a ****. This isnt Walmart or some store where they are barely making money per item. We are talking about $200 hoodies. The *smart* thing to do is show your customer you care about them, even if its "out of warranty."

Back to the mr porter carbon talk for a second. Kinda bummed with the fit. Went with my cast 2 size, and they are slightly off. Slightly looser on the calves and around the knee which makes stacks a bit sloppy. (just like everyone elses) as well as there being some extra fabric/room in just the crotch.
If I send them into fine goods to get them altered should I send the cast 2 measurements from the John Elliott site? I don't have a tailor, and am hesitant to trust a random one.
Thanks!

Agree If you or anyone is worried about the quality of a product and wants to still buy it, buy it from a big retailer with known great CS, they'll usually help you out.
You have to also remember that you're talking about a company that makes "basics", JE isn't an outdoor company. They don't make guarenteed "tough" products that are supposed to last until the end of times. So even Expecting them to cover you after a year seems like a bit much. Most companies won't cover your after the return period.

Find companies that you trust and spend your money there. If you're looking for suggestions, acne covers their clothing for a year, but they are also a larger company.

Oh and one last thing, you also need to understand how to talk to people to get things to work in your favor. If you're mean to people, they are less likely going to help you out. So getting on sf and saying "JE has the worst CS" isn't going to get you anywhere. You're better off addressing JE/Mike/whatever brand or someone and saying "hey I bought this sweatshirt from you, it fell apart, here's some pics. Any help would be appreciated"
