jeans that create least vertical streaking

i hate vertical streaking on jeans, i was wondering which companies to avoid and which companies to buy.

FWIW, KMWs are not a good choice for a streak-free pair of jeans

Look for jeans which are hank/dip dyed instead of rope dyed. In general, hank dying produces a deeper, more saturated indigo color and less vertical streaks.

I'm not sure that is necessary the case. For example the hank dyed jeans from Eternal, Pure Blue and Sugarcane are amongst the most streaky jeans on the planet. The Sugarcane Hawaii's being most obviously streaky. Also there are many rope dyed and slasher dyed denims far less streaky than the above mentioned (and less streaky than most selvedge denims for that matter). Vertical streaking is the result of the warp yarns being uneven in thickness, creating ridges and valleys that when subjected to abrasion produce the vertical high-low contrast colours. I think the best thing to do is just take a look in a jeans emporium or department store and compare the denims on sale. Most of those jeans will not be hank dyed (and many, particularly cheaper jeans, will not be rope dyed). That will give a good range of jeans with more or less vertical ring patterns. If Blackdarkeye, you are looking specifically for selvedge denims, then most/all have been designed with an emphasis on vertical ring patterns. For a relatively 'flat' denim in this genre, I would recommend Studio D'Artisan's SD103XX - the natural indigo version.

This isn't sarcasm I love how you've been here 4 years and all you do is just pop up out of nowhere to drop denim knowledge bombs. Have you ever done a thread where you just spew out everything you know? I'd love to know more about rope dying and I don't even know what hank dying is, and really I just want to know all the denim stuff you know. Or if someone else who sees this post knows all this stuff too they could do it.
