I havent really touched them all summer. They just feel too heavy. Also, I wear jeans to work a lot so I try to dress them up a bit. The thick contrast stitching on the PBJ's makes it harder to do so. They hold their color well, the thighs are fading and the knee is fading also, but I doubt anyone but me would notice.

The past couple months, its been all about the suminandos (hence the 45rpm love :p)

Well, if you just want a cool piece that you don't wear all that often, they are probably a good buy. Besides, they make a good conversation piece and may have people wanting to rub your leg :p

Really, it's like looking at the reflection of the sky off a lake. They're beautifully different jeans.

That's different from what I've read. If you look closely at the weave, the strands are randomly packed together so that it does not look uniform. Apparently the looseness in the "pack" changes the depth dynamic of the indigo being soaked up by the cotton.

According to the page that was linked, the description says that when a group of threads is dyed and then rung out the air affects the coloring, so in the group of dyed threads the ones on the outside, getting more air, will be a different shade than those inside which are exposed to less air. I don't think it has anything to do with the weave. The weave looks random because the threads are hand woven which makes them very irregular.

Yes and no. Unfortunately I always seem to get mojibake when I type Japanese here.

What the hell makes a pair of jeans "sexy"? And is this your opinion only, or were you "advised" by some females?

My opinion, but not just my opinion. Sort of a distillation of what people in fashion might call "sexy" as opposed to "rugged", "Earthy", etc... Sleek lines, a lot of verticality in the cut. Streamlined hardware (see Dior buttons and hidden hook and eye closure). Nearly liquid looking denim. Essentially a very clean looking pair of jeans.

There are labels whose collections are invariably called "sexy", and others, not. I've never heard a John Varvatos collection, or a Dirk Schonberger collection, in that case, called "sexy", for example. You may argue against the use of the term in this sense, but you'd be shouting in the wind.

SDA D1002 gets my vote. Very clean, lays extremely flat, and the color after just a few weeks of wear starts to change to a brilliant, almost cobalt blue. Does that sound gay?

I like the Oni hand dip better, but they are practically identical.

The streakiness on the Onis almost disappears after the first soak. i'm not sure what happens months later, nobody post pics of them after that...
