Yes, lets stop talking about the Cadet Jacket and go back to "The Watch".

Edit:Gnatty8, awesome outfit. Just a quick question; Do you have a smoking pipe to go along with it?

Get out of the valley! Grove, Century City Mall, and 3rd St. Those are 3 of the key shopping malls in LA so if no luck at any of these, you probably have to go online. You're lucky... in OC it's pretty much just the SCP store that has anything of note.

I would rather stab myself in the eye than deal with the J.Crew staff at SCP.

Yes, pleeassse get out of the Valley! lol

I haven't been to the Topanga Mall store or the one at Century City, but I've been to the 3rd St. Promenade one and I always go to the one at the Grove. The Grove is closer to me. It has a great selection and I usually find whatever I'm looking for. There is plenty selection at 3rd St. as well. Both of those stores should definitely have what you need and will definitely be better than the Topanga location.

lol, i go to the Topanga mall all the time! Their Jcrew selection sucks for men, but the SAs always hook it up with the discounts. I ordered the baracuta jacket and the Alden Indys there and they told the person on the phone to give me 15% off student discount plus 10% new card discount.

However, if you ever want to try something on, best bet is The Grove. Every time I ask SAs associates at Topanga they always say "have you checked The Grove?"

Just a warning for those using a USA mailbox forwarding (proxy) service with J.Crew. I recently ordered a secret wash shirt & a t-shirt. $8.50 shipping to the proxy company, no problems, but J.Crew delivered my order in a damn 19"x12"x2" box, meaning this 1.5lbs box actually costs the same as a 4lbs box to ship - an extra $41 via Fedex to Australia. Don't complain about US or Canadian shipping again...

I made sure to buy a few straps from J. Crew when they had their 2 for 20 sale. I think I have like 5 or 6 different straps for it. Anyway, anybody that's still on the fence about this item, don't be. It's a great purchase and it feels like a quality watch. It's metal (unlike the $30 plastic watches most of you recommended), has a nice crystal glass face that is fairly resistant to scratches. It keeps good time and when you pair it the right band with the right outfit, you'll get plenty of compliments (I have).

So, go for it! No regrets here. I wear the watch everyday.

Yeah, me too. I have four straps. Would like more.

Doesn't look like it, the only 2 they sell online right now are British khaki and faded chino, and the khaki doesn't even ship out until end of April! I bought a pair in brown at the Men's Shop on Broadway, but rarely see these in any other retail stores at all.

Wow. So mine are collector's items. ha ha. It's probably just cyclical. Maybe they'll bring out the other colors again.

Actually I haven't seen any officer's chinos in the store here in a while, and the store here used to have gobs of them.

Anyone got any sizing advice for the millerain oilcloth field jacket? I tend to fall between small and medium for j.Crew unfortunately.

I'm also considering the fatigue jacket, which would be a better fit for spring?
