Go for it, even with duty it's still a good buy, especially by Canadian standard.

P.S. I don't think it's wise to ask SF members to circumvent the duty rules for you.

Do you think it wise to commit tax and customs fraud, and, better yet, to publicize your intention to do so?

It's because they use UPS, which charges a ridiculous amount. Even with PST and GST, (not sure PST can apply) and any additional tarriffs, I can't believe that all this money is going into the hands of the Canadian Government.

LA Guy's right - there is no way that PST, GST, handling and duty should exceed 30% of the price. This is UPS sticking it to you. Call STP and ask if they can ship USPS...

Let he who has not sneaked a contraband unpasteurized cheese in from Spain or France or inadvertently misdeclared the numbers of bottles of wine he is importing cast the first stone.

"You mean this bottle officer? No, I meant to drink it *before* entering the country." Proceeds to do so.

I've asked before. They responded:
Thank you for your recent email. Unfortunately, at this time, we are only set up to send orders via UPS on foreign orders.
Luckily, when shipping to Australia, they only stick it to you on some of the packages.
